Corsair Enters New Market,
Launches T1 RACE Gaming Chair
Corsair is expanding its product mix beyond computing
systems and components. The company has launched
its first line of gaming chairs. The new T1 RACE is
available in five color schemes and has a white Corsair
logo emblazoned on the back. Another Corsair logo is
embossed on the front of the headrest. The chairs are
available in these accent colors: black, blue, red, white, and
yellow. The T1 RACE has a sturdy steel frame with a gas
lift, and it rolls along on a five-caster base. The chair back
is able to recline at any angle up to 180 degrees, so you
can lay completely flat. The seat also tilts up as much as 10
degrees. The armrests can be adjusted for position, height,
width, and angle from the frame. Corsair says a lumbar
pillow and neck pillow are included with each chair. The
T1 RACE is available immediately and carries an MSRP
of $349.99.
EVGA Adds GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
SC2 GAMING HYBRID To Lineup
EVGA has added a new high-end GeForce 1080 Ti card to
its gaming card lineup. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2
GAMING HYBRID features the company’s iCX cooling
technology, which combines an AIO liquid cooler with an array
of temperature sensors and MCUs that provide feedback on
critical performance areas. The AIO cooler on the new card has
a 120mm radiator and fan. The GPU waterblock has a copper
base, plus there is a dedicated copper memory plate that makes
direct contact with the block. There’s another cooling fan in
the housing on the card above the VRM area. The information
relayed by the temp sensors and MCUs that EVGA has placed
all over the card can be viewed in real time on-screen using the
company’s Precision XOC software. Overclockers can use the
software to tweak settings and monitor temps to get the fastest
possible clocks. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING
HYBRID graphics card has an MSRP of $809.99.

New Razer Mice For Gaming Pros
Razer introduced two new mice for the high-end gaming
market, the wireless Lancehead ($139.99) and the wired
Lancehead Tournament Edition ($79.99). Aside from the
cord on the wired model, the two mice look the same.
Both models feature 16,000dpi sensitivity, but Razer says
the wireless Lancehead has a 5G laser sensor, while the
Lancehead Tournament Edition has a 5G optical sensor. The
Lancehead also has up to 210ips/50G acceleration, while
the Lancehead Tournament Edition has up to 450ips/50G
acceleration. Both mice have a 1,000Hz polling rate and
use the same mechanical mouse switches rated to 50 million
clicks, which Razer developed with partner Omron. The
mice have the same ambidextrous body and rubber side
grips. There are two DPI buttons on the mice that let users
adjust their sensitivity settings even while gaming. The mice
also have Razer Chroma technology, which lets users adjust
lighting with different colors and special effects.
New ViewSonic XG2530 Touts
240Hz Refresh Rate & FreeSync
ViewSonic has announced a new model in its XG line of
gaming monitors. The XG2530 is built for speed, with a
1ms response time and a blazing 240Hz refresh rate. The
new monitor sports a 25-inch TN (twisted nematic) screen
with full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080). The screen has
a 16:9 ratio and maximum viewing angles of 170 degrees
(horizontal) and 160 degrees (vertical). Along with the
impressive response time and refresh rate, the monitor is
equipped with AMD FreeSync to help eliminate stutter
and screen tearing. Ports include two USB 3.0 Type A, one
USB 3.0 Type B, one HDMI 1.4, one HDMI 2.0, and one
DisplayPort. There’s also a 3.5mm audio-out connection.
The set comes with a number of preset gaming modes for
FPS, MOBA, RTS, and other gaming situations. ViewSonic
says the XG2530 monitor will be available this month for an
MSRP of $449.99.
Lian Li PC-011WGX Certified By ROG
Lian Li rolled out a special edition of its PC-011 chassis that
is officially certified by the ASUS Republic Of Gamers and
includes special design elements from the ROG theme. The
front panel of the new PC-011WGX case is silk-screened with
geometric markings that will be familiar to ROG fans. The full
glass side panel also has an official ROG certification etched in
the lower left. Lian Li says that as with all of its ROG-Certified
cases, the PC-011WGX has undergone extensive testing from
ROG engineers to ensure compatibility with ROG products.
The new case is able to handle any motherboard from the
ROG stable, from Mini-ITX on up to E-ATX-sized boards.
The front ports on the PC-011WGX have been upgraded to
include a USB 3.1 Type-C connection, and the interior has
been optimized for placement of up to three 2.5-inch drives in
the rear. Lian Li says the PC-011WGX ships with the 011-1
accessory kit that includes a PCIe riser cable. MSRP for the
ROG-Certified PC-011WGX chassis from Lian Li is $319.
