Dear United States Consulate,

I am writing this letter to request that my disciple Piotr Czarnik, from Poland, be allowed to come to the United States for three months to spend time at the Enso House Hospice, connected to the Tahoma Sogenji Zen Monastery on Whidbey Island, in Washington State.

We have been given the opportunity many times now to have our disciples to spend time there, and it has been invaluable as an experience and support for their continuing zen training here at Sogenji Zen Monastery in Okayama.

Piotr will return without fail after three months being at Enso House. Our spring/summer training period begins in February so we are scheduling his trip for his return at this time.

I would be happy to offer any further information about this request if that would be helpful. Please call me at

086-277-8226 or fax me at

086-276-6181

With a deep request for your support in this important matter,

Gassho
