Perspective Matters
IT TAKES SERIOUS
mental
conditioning to achieve a fitness
goal. Being serious into getting fit
sometimes takes the fun out of the
fitness journey. In times of inner
struggles, having a fresher
perspective lightens the way
towards the end goal.
Whenever working out gets
tough for me to accomplish, I get in
touch with my inner child and
channel some of my favorite
characters - from the comic books
- as a motivation to get things done
effectively. For instance, I try
bringing out the Aquaman in me
whenever I need to complete my
swimming laps. While I turn into
Daredevil whenever it comes to
matters of agility and strength, in
calisthenics.
It may sound childish or immature,
but as long as the workout gets done
effectively, consider this perspective
as an interesting way to approach
one’s fitness goals. Rather than
thinking about burning calories,
lowering fat percentages, and losing
or gaining the inches, thinking out of
the box adds a sense of adventure
and excitement in our fitness
journey.
In this issue, we feature some of
your favorite superheroes - like
Wolverine, the Hulk, Spiderman, and
Quicksilver - and their workout
regimen.
If working out like a superhero is
not your cup of tea, find out how
