MAKE THE DVD RECORDER REGION FREE (fw 60911A): 1) press SETUP on the remote control 2) go onto padlock icon without selecting it 3) press 1 1 6 6 buttons in sequence 4) a message will appear confirming that "your unit is now region-free" Otherwise 1) enter into the service menu 2) change OP6 bit7, 6 and 5 setting them to zero (bit8 = MSB - bit1 = LSB) (for example, with an RH177HS set OP6: 8F) 3) save and exit from the service menu NOTE: The procedures above have been tested on firmware 60911A, without region-free patch installed.
